Project Manager

*** Purpose of the Job/Job Mission:
Managing and leading the project team including internal partners, engineering subcontractors as well as external interfaces (type B and C projects).
Profit and loss responsibility for the allocated project by delivering the project within time, budget and cash targets in the required quality whilst optimizing the margin.
Ensuring compliance with Bühler related directives and EHS standards.
*** Essential Functions:
- Supervise the final negotiations for the allocated project and provides the execution strategy;
- Ensures that the project schedule baseline is signed by the involved parties at the start of the project;
- Manage and lead the project team in order to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets;
- Perform proper risk and opportunity management;
- Ensure proper deviation management within the project. Assess, approve and expedite technical aspects of change orders and define effective claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, etc.;
- Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested, report according Bühler Project
Management process;
- Responsible for the site briefing meeting; Ensures that all site relevant documents are handed over to site personnel;
- Liaise with the Project Management Office to establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction;
- Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with clients, partners and main subcontractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution;

- Capture return of experience and best practice, apply lessons learned. Organizes and
accomplish a debriefing meeting;
- Supervise, support and coach the Project Team Members, provide input to project people performance reviews to functions;
- Is responsible for the technical design of medium plants, approves deliverables to ensure that design will meet the customers expectation;
- Prepare all necessary project execution specification for purchase orders for the
responsible scope of work;
- Resolve questions or problems that occur during the design and manufacturing as well as during installation and commissioning;
- Track schedules to insure his parts of the projects are executed completely and on time. Prioritise and manage work hours to support budgeted hours and scheduled due dates for projects. Mitigate in engineering to ensure on time placement of purchase orders without any subsequent deliveries;
- Is responsible for the assigned budget of his part of the project, including cost and quality of subcontracted design services;
- Supervise and support the Team Members in all technical belongings;
- Provide input to project people performance reviews to functions;
- Prepares the necessary documentation for the installation process;
- Tracks any deviation in the scope of work in the Bühler CAQ system;
- Is able to prepare work packages which can be shifted to other engineering locations;
- Capture return of experience and best practice, apply lessons learned;
