- Manage all special requests made by guests and operational departments
- Ensure consistency within the department Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to:
- Gardener & Landscape
- Contractors
- Cleaning service
- Maintenance
- Stock level
- Recommended changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis
- Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems
- Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over
- Manage all department functions including short and long term planning, as well as day to day operations
- Provide the direction for a positive, empowering work environment by setting the example and consistency of day to day work habits
- Solve employee grievances
- Perform work allocations
- Perform public area inspections
- Maintain effective communications with all hotel operational departments to effectively resolve situations impacting guest service or malfunctions of departmental equipment
- Ensure projects are effectively implemented and meets department objectives
- Co- ordinate special projects (eg planting, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, fix asset inventories)
- Maintain all departmental assets including equipment repairs and maintenance and ensure all departmental areas (FOH and BOH) are maintained, clean, and organized
- Management of lost property for the hotel
- Ensure you have complete knowledge of layouts and facilities
- Manage storage areas
- Maintain adequate stock levels
- Complete stock takes as required
- Operate smooth, efficient, cost effective operation; including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services and inventory control.
- Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
- Proactively greet, interact, and assist hotel & residences staff in a professional manner to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment, thank them when they lend assistance.
- Respond to and resolve guest and/or employee complaints in a timely manner and creatively solve problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties
- Works with Superior on manpower planning and management needs
- Works with Superior in the preparation and management of the Department's budget.
- Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Yêu cầu
- Type and level of experience required may vary slightly based on size and complexity of operation.
- 2 years housekeeping experience preferably in a hotel of similar size and complexity and including supervisory experience or training.
