Python / AI Developer Middle Above - Infrastructure

The company is scaling up its intake and delivery of AI/Python application projects for clients. This role requires a Python/AI Developer with hands-on, real-world experience and strong ability to work independently - directly developing AI products/features, taking over and operating part of the infrastructure (Infra), and providing technical support to other team members when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly develop Python applications for AI/AI projects (chatbots, LLM integration, RAG, etc.).
• Integrate APIs from AI platforms (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) into client systems.
• Independently design implementation-level architecture for assigned features/projects, only needing to align with the AI Technical Lead at a high level rather than requiring detailed day-to-day guidance.
• Takeover, operate, and be able to improve the existing infrastructure (Infra): server configuration, deployment, basic CI/CD, system monitoring.
• Ensure code quality and write clear technical documentation to reduce dependency on any single individual within the team.
• Provide technical support and code review for other team members when needed (especially for new Python/AI projects handled by others).
• Participate in direct technical discussions with clients when needed, including when the AI Technical Lead is unavailable.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of hands-on Python development experience in a real-world environment (production experience preferred, not only academic/training projects).
• Has independently delivered at least 1-2 real-world AI/GenAI/LLM projects (chatbot, RAG, AI model integration, etc.) - an important requirement, as this role works independently with limited close supervision.
• Able to independently design system architecture at a basic-to-intermediate level without needing step-by-step guidance.
• Experience with Infra/DevOps: Linux servers, Docker, CI/CD, production deployment.
• Highly self-driven, able to work independently, self-learn, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Good communication skills, able to discuss technical topics directly with clients when needed.
• Good English proficiency for reading technical/requirement documentation and speaking

Nice-to-have

• Prior experience as a Tech Lead or mentor for other developers.
• Experience working on outsourcing projects for Japanese clients.
• Experience with FastAPI/Django.
• Relevant AI/Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure AI, etc.).
• Japanese and English certifications (e.g., JLPT for Japanese, TOEIC/IELTS/TOEFL for English).

• The CEO/representative holds a doctor degree in the AI field
