The R&D Coordinator supports the end-to-end new product development (NPD) process for M.O.I Cosmetics. This role acts as the key liaison between the Creative Director, internal teams, and Korean manufacturing partners, ensuring products are researched, tested, and developed in alignment with creative direction and market requirements.
a. Key Responsibilities:

Product Development (NPD)/Phát triển sản phẩm (NPD) (40%)
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to receive and execute product concepts.
= Conduct market and trend research, focusing on Korean beauty technologies and materials.
- Prepare R&D briefs for factories: product concept, texture, shade, fragrance, claims, and target pricing.
- Monitor and evaluate lab samples; coordinate formula revisions until final approval.
Coordination with Manufacturers/ Làm việc với nhà máy (25%)
- Serve as the primary communication point between M.O.I and Korean labs/factories.
- Share product briefs, discuss feasibility, MOQ, cost, and development timelines.
- Track testing processes such as stability and compatibility tests.
- Review technical documents including COA, MSDS, INCI formulation, test reports, and PIF files.
Project Coordination & Management/ Điều phối &

- Build and manage project timelines from concept to launch.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing, Packaging, and Supply Chain.
- Prepare documentation for product notification and ensure regulatory compliance (Vietnam MoH - Circular 06).
- Track R&D costs and sample/testing expenses.
Testing & Compliance (10%)
- Support ingredient and finished product testing at accredited laboratories.
- Validate product claims based on scientific evidence and technical documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with local cosmetic regulations.
b. KPIs:
What are the 3 5 Key Performance Indicators will this position be measured against?
- >= 90% projects completed on the agreed timeline. (Number of projects delivered on-time / total projects)
- Feedback sent within 2-3 working days; ≤ 3 revision rounds per product. ( - - Average response time & number of formula revisions.)
- 100% COA, MSDS, test reports, INCI list, PIF received as required.
c. Interdepartmental communication
What are the primary people contacts in this job? With whom? What purpose?
How Often?
- Supply Chain Manager: Report daily/weekly/month
- COO/CEO: follow job requirements as needed
- MKT, Finance: Cooperate with planning or buildup events, training, solving guest issue.
II. REQUIREMENT
Qualifications:
What skills, expertise, or behavioral traits are needed to succeed in this position?
- Strong communication skills in English or Korean.
- Project coordination and time-management abilities.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about beauty products.
Required experience & education:
What is the education or work experience needed to qualify for this position?
- 3-5 year experience in development and manufacturing of makeup, cream and lotion based formulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Food Technology, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic formulations and K-Beauty trends.
- Experience working with Korean manufacturers is a plus.
- Prior experience in R&D, NPD, or QA/QC in cosmetics is preferred.
