We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated SECONDARY COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER to join our vibrant BVIS HCMC team.
Key Responsibilities
As Secondary Computer Science Teacher, you will:
Deliver high-quality, interactive Computer Science lessons that motivate and challenge students.
Contribute to developing creative and forward‐looking schemes of learning.
Maintain high expectations for all students and foster strong teacher-student relationships.
Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
Use assessment to support progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to students.
Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices across the department and the wider school.
Participate in professional learning sessions and contribute to departmental development.
Communicate effectively with parents on academic and pastoral matters.
Play an active role in wider school life, enrichment, and community engagement.
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards in all learning environments.
What We're Looking For
A relevant degree in Computer Science plus a teaching qualification.
Minimum 3 years of recent classroom teaching experience.
Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
Excellent classroom practice and ability to differentiate for diverse learners.
A reflective practitioner who is open to continual professional learning and growth.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Positive outlook, adaptability, and proactive approach to school improvement.
Strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
