WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Support the monthly close process, including rent payments, journal entries, lease expenses, and accruals.
- Review new and amended lease/contract agreements and ensure accurate accounting treatment under US GAAP / ASC 842.
- Maintain accurate lease and contract data in LeaseQuery and manage the contract information database.
- Partner with internal teams to gather information and evaluate new leases and contracts, including those related to acquisitions.
- Prepare historical and forecast reports on rent, contractual obligations, and commitments.
- Work with vendors and business stakeholders to clarify contract terms and resolve accounting matters.
- Coordinate and provide guidance to offshore accounting team members, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and procurement savings and support related initiatives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field.
- 4 + years' experience in accounting, audit or other relevant professional capacity.
- Proficient at working in accounting and lease software.
- Advanced Excel Skills & working with large amounts of data.
Nice to Have
- Experience accounting for leases preferred.
- Experience working in retail or healthcare industry preferred.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
