Job Purpose
The Senior Accountant is a hands-on execution role responsible for the company's day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries on the Navision system, ensuring accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and balance sheet management in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS). The role prepares tax filings and supporting documentation for the
Accounting Manager's review, and provides documentation and administrative support during audits and tax inspections. Overall responsibility for tax compliance, internal control design, and liaison with tax authorities and external auditors rests with the Accounting Manager; this role executes and supports those functions rather than own.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting
• Handle the day-to-day accounting entries and bookkeeping process using the Navision system
• Enter and control accounting data, payment entries, and receivable entries in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage and allocate short-term and long-term prepaid expenses
Manage accrued expenses
• Manage prepayments to agents and hotels
• Prepare a monthly breakdown of balance sheet accounts
• Perform month-end reconciliations related to the General Ledger (GL)
Tax Filing Support
• Prepare monthly and periodical tax declarations and supporting documentation (VAT) for the Accounting Manager's review and submission
• Assist in compiling and drafting tax reports as directed
Process & Aud
it Support• Apply accounting and tax forms, templates, and procedures as set by the Accounting Manager, and suggest practical improvements based on day-to-day execution
• Assist with Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable work when necessary
• Other tasks as assigned by Manager.
