We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Content Writer to join our YouTube storytelling channel. This is NOT a marketing or SEO writing role - we craft compelling stories that captivate audiences. You will be the voice behind our scripts, turning ideas into narratives that hook viewers from the first second and keep them engaged until the very end. If you live and breathe storytelling, we want to hear from you.
Write engaging, well-structured scripts for YouTube videos focused on storytelling (not product promotion or SEO content)
Research topics thoroughly to ensure accuracy, depth, and originality in every script
Craft compelling hooks, build tension, maintain progression, raise stakes, and deliver satisfying payoffs in every narrative
Write in a conversational, emotionally engaging tone that resonates with the target audience
Collaborate with the creative team on content ideas, story angles, and video concepts
Leverage AI writing assistants as a support tool - not as a crutch - to enhance productivity and ideation
Revise and refine scripts based on feedback, meeting deadlines consistently
Stay updated on YouTube trends, audience behavior, and storytelling best practices

1+ years of experience in content writing, scriptwriting, or creative writing (YouTube experience strongly preferred)
Deep understanding of storytelling fundamentals: hooks, tension, progression, stakes, emotional engagement, and grand payoff
Strong research skills - ability to find, verify, and synthesize information from multiple sources
Excellent command of English (written); ability to write in a natural, conversational tone
A genuine passion for writing, reading, and storytelling - this must be more than just a job to you
Professionalism: respects deadlines, follows guidelines, and communicates proactively
Familiarity with AI writing tools (ChatGPT, etc.) as assistants - but does NOT rely on them entirely
NICE TO HAVE:
Portfolio or samples of YouTube scripts or story-driven content
Experience with different storytelling formats (true crime, history, mystery, documentary-style, etc.)
Understanding of YouTube analytics, audience retention, and what makes viewers click and stay
Deep understanding of storytelling fundamentals: hooks, tension, progression, stakes, emotional engagement, and grand payoff
Strong research skills - ability to find, verify, and synthesize information from multiple sources
Excellent command of English (written); ability to write in a natural, conversational tone
