Senior Process Automation Engineer

Basic Function of the Job:
Focus on the enhancement, optimization, and automation of measurement and testing equipment
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational safety.
Play a key part in improving accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of measurement systems within manufacturing and quality operations.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for measurement and testing equipment
Analyze current measurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement in accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency
Modify and upgrade existing test systems, fixtures, and measurement devices
Develop and maintain control software (PLC, LabVIEW, Python, etc.) for automated measurement systems
Integrate sensors, data acquisition systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in automation, electronic, mechatronic engineering or related field. Master's degree will be a plus
At least 5 years with a Bachelor's degree/3 years with a Master's degree in similar role at international manufacturing company.
Strong knowledge of measurement systems,sensors, and data acquisition
Hands-on experience with PLC programming(Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) or automation software tools
Familiarity with programming/scriptinglanguages such as Python, LabVIEW, C/C++,or similar
Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart factoryconcepts
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt orabove) is a plus
Knowledge of robotics is a plus
Experience with industrial communicationprotocols and control systems integration

Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motioncontrol systems, and machine vision
Understanding of MSA (Measurement SystemAnalysis), calibration, and quality standards ispreferred
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently with limitedsupervision and in cross-functional teams
Good communication skills in English
