JOB SUMMARY
The Senior
Purchasing Executive is responsible for strategic procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers locally and overseas, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the entire procurement process to support the company's objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible to source for suppliers both in local and overseas. Coordinate with suppliers on sourcing materials, price negotiation & comparison and delivery status.
• Analyze market trends and conditions to forecast material pricing and availability.
• Responsible on
purchasing requisitions, quotation enquiries, issuance of purchase order and invoicing.
• To coordinate with all related departments in order to achieve the plan target and schedule delivery. Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement activities with business goals.
• Identify and develop relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee the entire procurement process from sourcing, order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
• Must have experience dealing with freight forwarder and have import and export experience. Cross check every detail of Custom declaration sheet, COC, import license and ensure every declaration and process is done correctly to ensure smooth delivery process.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations and company policies.
• Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers/vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms and conditions. Maintain strong relationship with key suppliers, monitor performance and resolves issues that may arise.
• Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, systems, and practices. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising the product or service quality. Conduct cost benefit analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings as well as monitor and controls procurement budgets.
• To perform all other ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors whenever necessary from time to time.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with demonstrated success in strategic procurement planning and execution. Have experienced in Bags, Garments industry is preferred
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English is compulsory
• Can do attitude and positive thinkers, Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements in a procurement environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Resourceful and have experience dealing import and export, applying COC and license is added advantage
