Primary Function: Scenario generation using Podium, structural design validation, and product feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use our solutions to generate feasible design scenarios.
- Work with the customers (possibly via Lead Architect ) to understand requirements for building structural design, and ensure objectives are achieved
- Sanity check Platform's automated structural outputs against building codes and engineering principles using professional judgment.
- Verify that structural logic is sound and compliant (not by recalculating, but by reviewing outputs for reasonableness).
- Identify any issues or edge cases where the tool's logic may be incorrect or incomplete by reviewing design outputs.
- Document and communicate issues to the product team with specific requirements for tool improvements.
- evaluate, troubleshoot, optimize the platform generated designs for its applicability, accuracy and completeness from a practitioners or end-user point of view.
- Collaborate with MEP Engineer to ensure coordinated design.
Yêu cầu
Must-have Skills:
- Deep understanding of structural behavior and building systems.
- Experience with BIM/Revit - familiarity with parametric design.
- Ability to read and interpret structural analysis results.
- Knowledge of building codes and structural regulations - will not validate against specific codes but needs to have a general understanding - - We don't expect folks to know all the codes regionally but their ability to grasp, adaptability to work with prospect / clients in different regions, discover, learn, build and sharing it is something will help.
- evaluate, troubleshoot, optimize the platform generated designs for its applicability, accuracy and completeness from a practitioners or end-user point of view.
- Strong communication skills (written as a minimum) to articulate.
Computational Awareness:
- Critical: Must understand how generative/parametric/computational algorithms work (e.g., how the tool generates floor layouts, applies structural constraints, optimizes for efficiency). This is NOT about scripting in Grasshopper or Dynamo - it's about understanding the logic and being able to identify when outputs don't make sense.
- Development experience of plug-ins, algos, is not required but having working knowledge of how they function, what goes into it, etc is required.
DON'T Do:
- Do not recreate structural calculations manually to verify the tool.
- Do not need to know all the building regulations in target country.
- Do not use Grasshopper, Dynamo, or other parametric tools.
- Do not do software development or plugin creation.
