Job Summary:
The Sr Chemical Engineer plays a large role in the formulation, innovation, specification, and component production process of shoe-making polymer. Is deeply involved in innovation and advanced-technology projects. Leads factory chemical management and the shoe-bonding process. Monitors all polymer component production to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and reasonable cost.
Responsibilities:
20% Leads quality audits and supports manufacturing team to ensure component/shoes bonding quality on a quarterly basis.
20% Works with BO development and engineering team for specific bottom/bonding projects.
15% Actively participates in innovation projects.
10% Monitors bonding process in each factory, assessing/reporting the factory bonding performance and solving bonding problems in production.
10% Leads RSL (Restricted Substance List) program. Leads lab standard operations in rubber room, EVA room, or other polymer and chemical room.
10% Drives VOC (Volatile Organic Content) reduction program. Promotes chemical EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) practices by cooperating with CR team, factories, and suppliers.
5% Assists chief chemist with projects as needed.
5% Manages and distributes rubber and EVA swatch book.
5% Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job.
• Travel: Moderate - 25%
