Sr Staff HR Business Partner
Renesas is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced HR Business Partner to provide strategic and wide-ranging support to the business. This position will report into the HR Director.
Responsibilities:
- He/she must have a demonstrated record of success and career progression in a fast paced, high tech manufacturing environment.
- The Renesas culture requires a collaborative and flexible individual who is proactive in communications and able to develop effective working relationships at all levels within the company.
- Scope of responsibility will be both strategic and tactical, focused on supporting employees in Palm Bay and at multiple sites.
- He/she will be responsible for delivering a high level of human resources services by providing appropriate influence, guidance, and assistance to address a variety of employee related issues.
- Will work closely with the site leadership team to provide HR support, anticipate employee and organizational issues, and make recommendations and implement solutions to attract, motivate, develop and retain employees.
- Emphasis on creating and leading projects related to organizational development, career path development, talent development, succession planning, management training, performance management, and salary planning.
- Will manage a series of projects on a regional and a global basis, in addition to the HR Business Partner duties.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or other related field plus a minimum of 10+ years HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced high-tech work environment. May accept less years of experience with progressive HR experience and or a Masters degree,
- The position requires solid analytical and communication skills and demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and creatively.
- Business Partners are expected to have a high level of independence and maturity to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee related matters with minimum supervision and with excellent follow up.
- Must have excellent project management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle complex employee relations matters with minimum supervision and with excellent follow up.
- Ability to foster, motivate and influence positive behaviors throughout the organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the larger HR team
- Experience with due diligence, integration, and divestitures in M&A a plus.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Administers programs, procedures and plans related to employee relations activities, working with external vendors if required.
- Monitor changes and trends in employment law and best practice to ensure continued compliance and ensures that legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations to minimize exposure to liability.
- Implement policies, guidelines, and procedures, and lead on employee performance management, change management and employee engagement.
- Assists with writing job descriptions, employee policies & procedures and employee handbooks.
- Provides professional advice, guidance & training on all HR matters to line managers & staff & ensures correct policy interpretation in all these matters
- Investigates employee complaints and disputes, and recommends disciplinary action.
- Conducts manager candidate HR interviews
- Conducts new-hire orientations/inductions
- Conducts exit and termination interviews
- Manages international relocations and international assignments
- Facilitates employee training and be involved in needs assessments and recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with government regulations concerning employment and makes any appropriate filings
- Ensure compliance with right to work process and immigration
- Maintains records for equal employment opportunity and affirmative action reporting requirements and responds to discrimination claims
- HR contact for Occupational Health & Safety and well-being initiatives
- Conducts research, analyses data, compiles statistics and prepares analyses.
- Contributes to HR projects as required
- May counsel employees concerning work-related problems, providing feedback to management when necessary.
- May collate and process payroll information (hires, leavers, changes, variable payments, deductions etc) in conjunction with outsourced payroll vendor, advise on payroll legislation matters, and support payroll audits
- May input and maintain the human resource database and employee records and files, including hardcopy files. Documents activities as requested.

Key Performance Measures:
- Zero compliance infractions within employment countries (Policy, Process, Legal) - measured through regular audit
- Positive feedback from key stakeholders, line managers and employees on advice & guidance
- 100% data accuracy in SAP and paper employee files (and payroll where applicable). All data entered the latest by the effective date. Measured by regular data audit

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Fully qualified and experienced professional. Possesses strong competence with the various tools, processes and procedures used to accomplish the job. Is becoming a specialist in technical or business skills. Individuals with a customer focus have developed the acumen to cultivate and develop lasting customer relations.
- Typically requires 5 to 8 years of related experience.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on project/account status. Can provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in his/her area of specialisation. Generally free to determine work priorities based on general direction from managers.
- Excellent cross-cultural, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Experience using MS-Office and SAP HR & SuccessFactors HR modules

Qualifications:

- Academic degree in the area of HR Management or other relevant study (business administration, law, psychology).
