Supervisor - Logistics

1- Assist in collecting relevant information on freight traffic, sites and costs globally for the vessels and trucks regarding their availability and how far they can be hired in accordance with the sales deals in the company.
2- Prepare and revise contracts and notices of transport and land and marine chartering to present to his direct boss to revise and approve. Communicate with the customers to decide means of transport, specifications and arrival time in case of finishing chartering.
3- Study the vessels specifications in conformity with approved standards to get port admission and loading permissions. Prepare all required documents before vessel arrival, recognize discharge ports and send shipment documents to the agents to get cargo arrival time.
4- Monitor shipment processes, review daily shipment reports received from export team to follow up the approved shipment rates and avoid demurrages.
5- Working and managing all shipping lines and forwarders about their services, prices etc.
6- Calculate the actual period for loading and discharge processes according to the chartering or the sales contracts to avoid demurrages and save time. Follow up any demurrages and send and communicate with the concerned parties whether owners, or customers.
7- Prepare chartering costs invoices to present, approve, and send to financial department after ensuring there are demurrages or costs.
8- Prepare loading and shipment timetables as per the received data from plant operations and marketing department.
9- Prepare required reports - periodical and special - on the activities of the team in the light of the approved shipment timetables and programs and on the global prices for chartering and maritime transport as per the periodical changes.
10- Keep filing all neccessary documents for shipment as required by Finance and Accounting department and for audit purpose.
11- Follow and observe health, safety and environment systems and regulations and take due precautions to protect himself and others and preserve the company's assets and properties.
12- Perform other assigned duties within the scope of his job.
