JOB DESCRIPTION: TECHNICAL / APPLICATION ENGINEER (INDUSTRIAL VALVES & ACTUATORS)
1. GENERAL INFORMATION

2. JOB SUMMARY
This position acts as a core technical bridge between the company, customers, and manufacturers. The primary responsibility is to provide specialized technical solutions for valve automation, calculating and selecting appropriate electric or pneumatic actuators combined with industrial valves for industrial projects, while providing comprehensive support to the sales and project teams from consultation and technical documentation to handover and warranty.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES a. Technical Solutions & Equipment Selection
Review engineering drawings, technical specifications (datasheets), and P&ID by clients, EPC contractors, or consulting engineers.
Calculate torque/thrust requirements and select suitable electric or pneumatic actuator models to operate various valve types (butterfly valves, ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, etc.).
Configure auxiliary technical parameters: Control signals (4-20mA, Modbus, Profibus, etc.), power/air supplies, feedback devices (limit switch boxes, positioners), explosion-proof standards (Ex-proof), and other associated accessories.
b. Tender & Sales Support
Collaborate with the Sales team to prepare technical documents for bidding proposals (technical proposals, specification compliance sheets, company capability documents).
Directly clarify complex technical requirements with clients, design engineers, or manufacturer experts to optimize solutions and costs.
Update new industry technical standards (Power, Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Chemical, etc.) to guide effective sales strategies.
c. Technical Support & Commissioning (After-sales)
Guide equipment installation, stroke calibration, setup, and commissioning at plant sites or job sites when required.
Responsible for the technical aspects of valve assembly (OEM valve bodies specified by customers combined with Enertork actuators) at the Binh Duong factory.
Consult on and provide replacement services for electric/pneumatic actuators of other brands (Rotork, Auma, Chinese Brands, etc.)
Receive, coordinate with manufacturers or senior technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during operation and warranty periods.
Assist in organizing basic technical training sessions on actuator and valve operation and maintenance for clients or distribution partners.
4. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related technical fields.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience as an Application Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, or Project Engineer in Industrial Valves, Instrumentation, or Actuators/Automation.
In-depth understanding of the structure, operating principles, and operation of both Electric Actuators and Pneumatic Actuators is a core competitive advantage.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and understanding P&ID mechanical drawings and electrical/pneumatic schematic diagrams.
Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent engineering software.
Ability to research technical documents, manuals, and datasheets in English independently.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, presentation, and technical problem-solving skills with customers.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work well under high pressure.
Willing to travel on short-term business trips when project site support is required.
Knowing Korean or residing in Binh Duong will be an advantage.
