JOB SUMMARY:
The role involves processing daily merchant settlements and payouts, investigating exceptions, and coordinating with financial institutions. Responsibilities also include managing card disputes and chargeback cases from receipt through resolution, along with customer support for merchant payment inquiries. Additionally, the position requires ensuring compliance with Singapore AML/CFT regulatory requirements by conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, and supporting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for higher-risk merchants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process daily merchant settlement and payout transactions accurately and within established service level agreements (SLAs).
Investigate failed settlements and payout exceptions.
Coordinate with banks, payment processors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues.
Manage card disputes and chargeback cases from receipt through resolution.
Liaise with acquiring banks, payment partners and merchants on dispute investigations.
Maintain accurate dispute records and reporting.
Experience in customer support handling merchant payment related enquiry.
Understand and apply Singapore AML/CFT regulatory requirements in daily operations.
Support Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for higher-risk merchants where applicable.
Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews for merchant onboarding.
Verify corporate documents, business registrations, shareholder structures and beneficial ownership information.
Assist in periodic KYC reviews and ongoing customer monitoring.
Perform sanctions screening, adverse media screening and risk assessments.
Ensure merchant onboarding complies with internal policies and MAS regulatory requirements.
Maintain complete and accurate compliance documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
Maintain high accuracy in data entry and document verification.
Meticulous person with high integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines.
2 to 5 years of experience in payment operations, banking operations, merchant acquiring, fintech, e-commerce payments or financial services.
Experience in merchant onboarding, KYC, AML, payment processing or reconciliation is highly preferred.
Experience handling Visa, Mastercard or card scheme disputes is an advantage.
