OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
- Run PM lab operation including material testing and formulation adjustment to offer quick service to customers and develop projects.
- Provide technical service to Furniture and Appliances customers with prompt local supports to achieve market targets and business performance in Vietnam.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES
Laboratory & Testing:
- Conduct physical properties' check;
- Complete reports as required;
- Organize laboratory operation as per Company Regulation;
- Maintain and calibrate to ensure the lab equipment, instruments in good condition;
- Prepare chemicals and equipment to carry out the test;
- Support for adjusting formulation to meet business and customers' requirements;
- Work with customers' operation personnel and own research personnel to establish a communication path for lab-related activities that enhance business development;
Technical Service:
- Analyze and provide the solutions to resolve the technical issues;
- Cooperate with other BASF technicians to evaluate and optimize the solutions to meet customers' requirements and cost optimization;
- Provide technical consultancy and supports to customers regarding product applications, product modification/formulation and processing aspects;
- Provide technical support to business team, co-ordinate in presentation/ seminars and workshops;
- Collect technical trends, competitor activities on the technical aspects;
- Handle and follow up complaints on technical related issues and refer major ones to supervisor;
- Plan and conduct line trials at customer sites;
- Prepare and keep updated professional documentation of all technical activities and trials carried out in-house and at customer site;
Safety & Company policies:
- Comply with plant site and Vietnam EHS rules and be responsible for safety at workplace.
- Strictly follow the company's policies and requirements; report areas of concern (if any) to manager;
- Control and monitor the safety and environment conditions in the laboratory;
