Mô tả công việc
A. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1/ Academic Planning and Counseling (35%)
Objective: Support students in understanding themselves, identifying their interests, strengths, and weaknesses in order to determine suitable academic majors and career paths.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize career exploration sessions, individual counseling, and one-on-one guidance for students from Grade 8 to Grade 12.
• Work with students to identify and develop short- and long-term personal and academic goals including developing academic plan that prepares them for a specific course of study in high school and beyond.
• Collaborate with homeroom teachers and subject teachers to understand each student's characteristics.
• Interpret aptitude and career interest assessments.
• Guide students in selecting subjects and extracurricular activities aligned with their career orientation.
• Collaborate in designing soft skills education programs or organize related workshops to help students gain insights into their preferred careers.
• Instruct students on how to research industries and the labor market.
• Maintain and update student profiles to monitor progress and adjust individual development plans.
• Support parents in understanding the most suitable career orientation for their child.
2/ University/College Application Counseling (30%)
Objective: Help students understand and properly prepare application plans that match their capabilities and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance on choosing appropriate majors and universities based on student capabilities and admission criteria (by country, field of study, cost, admission rates, etc.).
• Advise on course selection to meet university entry requirements.
• Organize application preparation workshops (e.g., CVs, personal statements, recommendation letters).
• Guide students through standardized test registration processes: SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, AP, etc.
• Track each student's application progress and deadlines.
• Support students with essay writing, obtaining recommendation letters, and interview preparation.
• Manage a database of universities, scholarships, and application deadlines by country.
• Build a resource library (guides, videos, articles, etc.).
• Send regular newsletters to students and parents.
• Provide support for visa applications, dormitory arrangements, and pre-departure preparation.
3/ University/ College/ Other External Organization Engagement (20%)
Objective: Expand opportunities for scholarships, admissions partnerships, and collaborative training programs to enhance the school's reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize career seminars, college fairs, and coordinate campus visits to universities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with universities, admissions organizations, and industry professionals.
• Coordinate internship and volunteer opportunities aligned with students' future fields of study.
4/ Post-Graduation Student Data Reporting and Analysis (5%)
Objective: Evaluate the effectiveness of the career and university guidance programs and provide strategic insights for school leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and compile data on university admissions outcomes (country, institution, major, scholarships, etc.).
• Analyze trends in students' school/major selections over the years.
• Prepare annual reports for school leadership on career guidance results and university acceptance rates.
• Advise on strategies to enhance the school's branding through alumni outcomes.
5/ Parent Counseling (5%)
Objective: Engage parents in the guidance process to foster alignment and effective support for their children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet with and counsel parents on their child's university and career orientation.
• Organize workshops, panel discussions, and information-sharing events for parents.
• Help parents understand how to interpret academic records, test results, and learning roadmaps.
6/ Administration and School Policy (5%)
• Apply ethical standards associated with handling sensitive and confidential student information.
• Attend team/department/school meetings to get updates on codes, regulations, policy.
• Comply with departmental and school regulations, guidelines, and policies.
• Participate in organizing school-wide events and activities.
• Other reasonable task assigned by the School Principal/ Direct Supervisor.

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Education, School Counseling, Educational Management, Sociology, or a related field. Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Relevant counseling certifications are highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of both Vietnamese and international education systems (e.g., U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, etc.).
• Prefer candidates with overseas study experience or international education background.
Experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in university or career counselling.
• Familiar with Vietnamese universities, international partnership programs, and foreign universities.
Skills and Attitudes
• Ability to understand and connect with students.
• Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
• Planning and organizational skills.
• High sense of responsibility, discipline, and integrity.
• Proactive, approachable, dedicated, and passionate about education.
