Wellsite Geologist

Monitor and report the progress of the well, particularly geological conditions and hydrocarbon shows.
Supervise and control all Mud Logging activities to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with required standards.
Analyze and describe cutting, sidewall core and core samples for lithology, hydrocarbons and unusual geological conditions.
Evaluate drilling breaks, hydrocarbon shows and gas detection results.
Advise the Drilling Supervisor on formation changes and geological parameters such as pore pressure.
Recommend controlled drilling when approaching primary geological objectives.
Make recommendations regarding circulating samples and MWD/LWD and Electrical Logging runs.
Witness and perform quality control of MWD/LWD and Electrical Logging operations when required.
Select/pick sidewall core points, coring intervals, pretest points, casing points, reservoir tops and TD.
Maintain an accurate inventory of MWD/LWD and Electrical Logging tools, accessories and consumables.
Correlate geological data with offset wells and conduct quick-look interpretation of MWD/LWD and Electrical Logging data.
Liaise with the Drilling Supervisor to maintain up-to-date knowledge of rig operations and procedures.
Ensure proper labeling, handling and timely dispatch of geological samples and data to the designated shore base.
Prepare and submit morning and afternoon geological reports.
Ensure all geological operations are conducted safely.
Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all geological, drilling and exploratory data.
Submit the complete Final Well Geological Report within two weeks after the rig moves off location.
