Taking advantage of being in the ecosystem of Vingroup with a number of technology and service-oriented companies such as Vinpearl, Vinhomes, VinFast, VinAI, VinBigdata, VinBrain etc., the College will cooperate closely with these companies in research to create breakthrough technology & healthcare products and solutions.
- As a strategic partner, Vinmec Healthcare System - the leading private, not-for-profit health care provider in Vietnam, which currently encompasses 7 hospitals and 4 outpatient clinics throughout Vietnam (with more than 1,600 beds), together with its medical research institutes and centers. Vinmec is the only healthcare provider in Vietnam offering 2 hospitals with Joint-Commission International (JCI) accreditation (in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city). The Vinmec Times City in Hanoi is our primary teaching hospital for the College of Health Sciences. It received the first JCI accreditation in 2015, the re-accreditation in 2018, and is currently the only teaching hospital in Vietnam with JCI recognition.
- Currently, the College offers undergraduate degree programs in Nursing and Medicine while there are three residency programs offered i.e. in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Pediatrics. All of the health sciences programs are competency-based, developed with the University of Pennsylvania's technical support. With UPenn's certified and validated curricula, world-class international and Vietnamese faculty members, modern pedagogical approaches, and infrastructure at the forefront of technology, we will prepare our students to become healthcare leaders, innovators, and scientists with an entrepreneurial mindset and as prospective agents of change in the future.
THE OPPORTUNITY
- VinUniversity is seeking a motivated and experienced Academic Assistan (in charge of External Engagement) to join the College of Health Sciences. As the Academic Assistan (in charge of External Engagement), you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster and enhance relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other academic institutions. Your primary objective will be to promote collaboration, build networks, and establish mutually beneficial partnerships that align with the College's goals and mission.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* REPORT TO: CHS Dean
1. Partnership Development:
- Under the leadership of CHS leaders, work diretly with stakeholders to develop partnerships that support the College's vision and mission.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions to facilitate collaborative projects, research initiatives, and exchange programs.
- Work with partners and internal stakeholders to develop, review, edit and negotiate partnership LOI, MOU, agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Lead a team to organize MOU/LOI/agreement/contract signing ceremony and related events.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, providing timely and professional communication to foster positive relationships.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, conferences, and events to promote dialogue and collaboration between the College and external partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams (i.e. Nursing, UME, GME, etc.), the VinUni's academic engagement and corporate engagement department to carry-out collaborative program and activities, including student exchange, staff/faculty exchange, education and training collaboration, research, career day, etc.
- Proactively seek opportunities to engage with stakeholders, attending industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay informed about trends and advancements.
3. Penn Contract Management:
- Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions outlined in the partnership agreement.
- Facilitate regular communication and coordination between the two institutions, including organizing meetings, conference calls, and site visits.
- Coordinate with CHS's leaders and Penn team to review and finalize quarterly acceptance reports and deliverables.
- Monitor and manage progress and performance of collaborative implementation plan and budget.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to update stakeholders on the progress and impact of the alliance.
- Collaborate with finance and administrative teams to track expenditures and prepare budget proposals.
4. Marketing and Communication:
- Collaborate with MAC to develop and implement effective marketing and communication strategies to promote the College's achievements, initiatives, and outcomes to external stakeholders.
- Contribute high-quality written materials, including press releases, articles, and reports, highlighting the College's impact and contributions.
- Utilize various communication channels, such as social media, newsletters, and website content, to engage and inform external audiences.
5. Others:
- Develop and manage the annual external engagement plan and budget of CHS.
- Maintain good record keeping and data filing. Ensure accurate and timely update of database. Prepare reports and presentations from time to time.
