Expanding & managing clients for Marvy & Octokit
About the role
This is a hybrid role: hunter + farmer + consultant. You will prospect new clients, manage long-term relationships, run projects end-to-end with internal teams, and consult clients to help them find the right solution - not just push our products. The strongest Account Executives at Marvy are not pushy sellers; they are trusted advisors who understand the client's marketing problem first, and recommend the right Marvy or Octokit solution second.
Key responsibilities
Client management & development
• Identify, approach, and develop potential clients in the AR/VR, gamification, and marketing sectors for both Marvy and Octokit.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and partners.
• Proactively expand the client base through cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, Zalo), networking events, and warm referrals.
• Cross-sell between Marvy and Octokit - identify Marvy clients who could benefit from Octokit and vice versa.
Presentation & pitching to clients
• Prepare content and design professional presentation slides to showcase ideas.
• Pitch directly to clients, effectively conveying the value of Marvy's and Octokit's solutions.
• Persuade clients with real case studies and industry insights.
• Develop innovative ideas and pitching content for both products (full training provided on Octokit).
Consulting & solution proposal
• Listen first, propose later: run proper discovery calls to understand the client's objectives, audience, budget, KPIs, and timeline before pitching anything.
• Diagnose the real problem: translate the brief into a clear problem statement, then propose creative solutions tailored to each campaign.
• Recommend the right fit: advise the client on whether Marvy (custom creative tech), Octokit (self-serve SaaS), or a hybrid is right - don't push the wrong product for a quick deal.
• Collaborate internally: work with the Creative, Tech, and Production teams to scope solutions, analyze briefs, and produce strategies and quotations that match client needs.
• Educate the market: many Vietnamese brands and agencies are new to gamification, AR/VR, and AI experiences. Part of your job is to teach how these formats work and help clients get internal buy-in.
Project management & progress tracking
• Accurately transfer project requirements from clients to internal teams, ensuring timely and quality results.
• Monitor execution closely with the production team to ensure delivery on schedule and on quality.
• Proactively handle any issues arising during implementation.
• Maintain proactive, positive communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Negotiation & closing
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and service contracts.
• Negotiate contract terms to ensure mutual benefit for both parties.
• Coordinate with accounting to finalize payment schedules and contracts.
Performance & reporting
• Evaluate the effectiveness of completed projects; generate reports and suggest improvements for future campaigns.
• Update the CRM weekly: number of leads, meetings, proposals sent, deals closed.
• Report revenue and forecasts to the CEO on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence.
• Represent Marvy and Octokit at industry events and conferences.
Yêu cầu
Must-haves
• 1-3 years in B2B Account Executive/ BD/ Sales - ideally selling marketing services, agency offerings, SaaS, or tech products.
• Consultative selling mindset: you genuinely enjoy understanding a client's problem before recommending a solution.
• Proficiency in AI tools and the ability to utilize AI effectively.
• Hunter instinct: you like meeting clients, persuading, and closing - you don't wait for leads to come to you.
• Account mindset: able to maintain long-term relationships and manage projects end-to-end, not just burn through one-time deals.
• IELTS 6.5 or higher (or equivalent), with strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
• Basic understanding of marketing and advertising - how agencies operate, how brands allocate budget, how a campaign brief reads.
• Comfortable with Canva, CapCut, Excel, Google Slides, and at least one CRM (HubSpot, Clickup, Pipedrive, or similar).
• Own a motorbike and willing to attend client meetings multiple times per week.
• Resilient with rejection - typical B2B close rates are 5-10%, and you're okay with that rhythm.
Nice-to-haves
• Prior experience selling AR/VR, gamification, game marketing, or similar tech products.
• An existing network in Vietnam's agency or brand-side marketing community.
• Conversational English at a regional level - able to engage clients in Singapore, Thailand, or the Philippines.
• Familiar with SaaS products and able to demo Octokit independently after onboarding.
• A fast learner with an active, productive mindset and creative problem-solving abilities.
