Job Descriptions:
The Communication Manager plays a leading role in developing and implementing integrated communication programs for clients. He/She is responsible for managing day-to-day client communications work, leading projects from planning to execution, and ensuring all communication activities align with client objectives and brand direction. This role requires a strong understanding of integrated communications, including public relations, content, media relations, brand activations, ATL/BTL campaigns, digital communications, and production coordination.
The Communication Manager is expected to maintain strong client relationships, provide strategic counsel, oversee project delivery, and guide junior team members to ensure high-quality execution and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day account and communication work for assigned clients.
Develop integrated communication strategies and execution plans that support client business and brand objectives.
Plan, coordinate, and execute communication projects across multiple channels, including PR, media, content, events, activations, and digital platforms.
Draft and review a wide range of communication materials, such as press releases, media pitches, Q&As, speeches, key messages, reports, proposals, social content, and other campaign materials.
Present communication ideas, strategic approaches, and budget proposals during pitching and proposal development processes.
Manage projects from planning through execution to ensure timelines, quality standards, budgets, and client expectations are met.
Proactively communicate with clients, provide regular updates, and report project progress clearly at every stage.
Build, maintain, and grow strong agency-client relationships by understanding client needs, solving issues constructively, and identifying opportunities for account growth.
Provide strategic communication counsel to clients and recommend suitable solutions based on objectives, context, and market dynamics.
Develop and oversee PR and communication activities, including press conferences, media briefings, media interviews, press releases, media trips, content plans, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Support crisis communication planning and management across traditional, digital, and social channels.
Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, media partners, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
Monitor campaign performance, media coverage, and communication effectiveness; prepare post-campaign reports and actionable recommendations.
Establish and maintain strong media and communication networks to enhance relationship building and create opportunities for impactful and innovative communication initiatives.
Supervise, motivate, and develop junior team members by providing guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback, while ensuring high standards of work quality and professionalism.
Contribute to team capability building and help foster a collaborative, respectful, and performance-driven working environment.
Report directly to the Account Director / Communication Director.
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or integrated marketing communications; agency experience is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of integrated communications, including PR, media relations, content development, brand activations, events, ATL/BTL, and digital communications.
Proven experience in managing client relationships and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into practical communication plans.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, stakeholders, and execution quality.
Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
Creative mindset with the ability to develop compelling content and communication ideas across channels.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in crisis communication and reputation management is a plus.
Leadership capability with experience in mentoring or supervising junior team members.
