The Advance Supplier Quality Supervisor will drive the ASQE Engineers to collaborate with New Product Development & Quality Engineering teams to work with suppliers on new component development and qualification, which include CTQ dimension review, inspection method development and PPAP document [protected info]
In addition, the candidate will take lead to assess and develop supplier manufacturing process, quality control and inspection capability to ensure they have good understanding and ability to manufacture parts according to TTI drawing specification and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
Lead the ASQE team ( ASQE Engineers ) to
Advance work involvement with NPI and QE teams on new component development and qualification (e.g. CTQ dimension review, inspection method development, PPAP document development).
Focus on supplier manufacturing processes, quality control and inspection capabilities
Support Sourcing and OPEX teams on new supplier technical capability assessment prior to business award & tooling release.
Partnership with SQE team to ensure part quality consistency from NPD to post MP stage
Ensure suppliers meet TTI quality standards. Develop supplier to meet these quality requirements as needed.
Review engineering specifications and drawings to determine supplier's abilities to meet parameters and review new and modified product designs from a material standpoint advising modifications when necessary.
Provide leadership on-site at supplier locations to drive team efforts and activities.
Work with Engineering to drive technical document changes when needed.
Prepare weekly & monthly quality performance reports to QM Senior Management
Education:
University degree in Mechanical,
Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of related working experience in Engineering or Quality positions. Familiarity with component production and quality control.
Have experience in team management
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge & experience on Quality Tools such as Six Sigma, ISO standard, FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, DOE, 8D, AQL Sampling etc
Functional Skills:
Prefer to have reliability test experience; familiar with design for related reliability test items, conditions, failure analysis and report test status, etc.
Able to work independently and pro-actively.
Strong skills in problem analysis and solving.
Intermediate English reading, writing and speaking skills, Able to communicate in Chinese is highly preferred
Able to read and interpret technical drawings is a MUST
PC skills required (MS Office, Outlook, etc.). Experience with ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle) will be an advantage
