JOB DESCRIPTION
Advice, supervise coffee cultivation technology, and survey the farmer groups on the production of sustainable coffee; implement and support relevant projects followed by the board of management (BoM) instruction.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare an annual internal inspection work plan and inspect sustainable coffee farmer groups followed by the BoM instruction.
Honestly and fully report the real situation of the farmers, farmer groups, and suppliers to BoM on time for possible advice and instruction.
2. Collect feedback from farmers and suggest a solution to develop and maintain the activities of sustainable coffee groups.
3. Supervise and speed up the farmer groups to comply with the standard/ code of conduct applied.
a. Plan and assign tasks to farmer group leaders and supervise their activities to fulfill and meet the requirement.
b. Supervise and speed up the group leaders to meet the project timeline.
4. Support the annual training workshops followed by BoM instruction.
5. Report the selling certified coffee activities (any difficulty, obstacles) of farmer groups to BoM.
6. Be ready to join other activities followed by BoM instruction.
a. Execute project activities if required.
b. Coordinate to collect and update farmers' information in the NGV database.
7. Be well responsible for executing assigned tasks and finishing on time. Besides, report the real situation and result of working to the BoM.
8. Develop more farmers and farmer groups for sustainability programs for NGV when required.
THE RESULT NEEDS TO ACHIEVE
1. Ensure that the sustainable coffee farmers will comply with the standard/ code of conduct applied.
2. Identify and make the minutes (confirmed by the group leader) of the farmers who do not comply with the standard/ certified code of conduct applied and report to the BoM for decision.
3. Workload, quality, and progress of the job execution must be done properly and met the planning requirement.

REQUIREMENT FOR THE POSITION
Education: University or college specialized in agriculture, forestry, or environment.
Knowledge:
- Grasp firmly coffee cultivation techniques such as planting, cultivation, harvest, and post-harvest.
- Grasp firmly Rainforest standard updated, 4C code of conduct, and others if applied for certificated coffee production which is managed or controlled by NGV.
Skill:
- Read and understand coffee techniques, certified coffee standards, and code of conduct.
- Read and understand the work plan.
- Advice, instruct farmers how to cultivate sustainable coffee and to obtain the certification.
- Plan internal inspection, map farmland, collect farmer & farm information, and update the information to the database.
- Coordinate with farmer group leaders to instruct farmers to keep recording farmer field book, and to make sure that all costs of coffee farming is - available and updated properly.
- Assign tasks for group leaders, check, and supervise the job done.
- Able to use devices such as GPS, smartphones, and tablets with supportive software integrated to well manage farm data.
- Able to use Word, Excel, and Office devices.
- Able to use the internet and email.
- Speak English is preferable.
Ability:
- Coordinate well with colleagues.
- Supervise and manage farmer groups.
- Able to work independently and under high pressure.
- Able to handle conflicts and contradictions when working with farmer groups.
- Good communication.
- Build, maintain, and develop the relationship with farmers and partners.
