AI Engineer Machine Learning, Python

LizAI is seeking a talented individual who is passionate about building the next generation of AI in Healthcare. You will work with many cross-functional teams and be responsible for, but not limited to, designing, building, and maintaining the AI-Powered Platform. The ideal candidate should have experience in machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms. You are expected to display a high level of determination to complete work in a resourceful and proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on multiple projects critical to LizAI's needs, with our fast-paced business growing and evolving. Our engineers need to be versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack as we continue pushing technology forward.
• You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Experience with Python is required, and software development experience is a plus. • Design, code, and test new features, making marked contributions to the application and process, emphasizing performant, decoupled, testable, and maintainable code.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Report the data to the team.
• Comply with the data storage policies of LizAI.
• Possible international business travels.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience as a machine learning engineer using Python, and in software development with one or more programming language.
• 2 years of experience with natural language processing (NLP), conversational AI, zero-shot/few shot prompting, chain-of-thought prompting, and advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• 2 years of experience in building end-to-end machine learning pipelines and AI-driven software or platforms.
• Good command of English communication.

Preferred qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), entity recognition, prompt engineering, and LLM development is preferred.
• Ability to work with a diverse, global community-based in many different locations and time zones.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting timelines and adapting to changing priorities
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, cross functional environment
