We are looking for an experienced AppDynamics Engineer to design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for Temenos T24 (Transact) core banking applications and their integrations. The role focuses on ensuring high performance, reliability, and observability of T24 environments (including TAFC/TAFJ, interfaces, APIs, and related middleware), while integrating AppDynamics with banking systems for proactive issue detection, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.

This is a critical role in a banking or financial services environment, supporting production stability, Close of Business (COB) processes, and integration layers (e.g., Kafka, MQ, REST/SOAP APIs).

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and configure AppDynamics agents for T24 applications, including TAFJ (Java-based) and TAFC (C-based) environments, jBASE database, and related components.
Instrument and monitor T24 integrations such as:
- APIs and web services
- Message queues (IBM MQ, Kafka, etc.)
- Interface Framework (IF), Delivery Services (DES), and other Temenos components
- Batch processes and COB (Close of Business) jobs
Set up end-to-end transaction tracing, business transaction monitoring, and service maps for T24 flows.
Create custom dashboards, alerts, and health rules in AppDynamics tailored to T24 performance metrics (e.g., response times, error rates, resource utilization during peak loads or COB).
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in T24 applications and integrations using AppDynamics diagnostics (snapshots, call graphs, database queries, etc.).
Integrate AppDynamics with other tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, ServiceNow, etc.) for unified observability.
Support capacity planning, scalability assessments, and performance tuning for T24 environments.
Collaborate with T24 development, infrastructure, and operations teams to onboard new applications/modules and ensure monitoring compliance.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.
Document monitoring configurations, best practices, and runbooks specific to T24 + AppDynamics.
Stay updated with AppDynamics features/releases and Temenos T24 updates (R14/R15+ preferred).

Requirements - Must-Have

5+ years of hands-on experience with AppDynamics (AppD) in enterprise environments (agent installation, configuration, custom instrumentation, dashboards, and alerts).
Strong experience with Temenos T24 (Transact), including:
- Architecture knowledge of TAFC/TAFJ
- T24 integrations (interfaces, APIs, middleware)
- Understanding of COB processes and batch monitoring
Proficiency in Java (for TAFJ) and/or C/C++ (for TAFC) monitoring with AppDynamics agents.
Experience in banking or core banking systems environment.
Solid understanding of application performance management concepts (APM), distributed tracing, and observability.
Experience with Linux/Unix, databases (jBASE, Oracle, etc.), and middleware (MQ, Kafka).
