Application Manager | Food Ingredients & Additives

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Application Manager is responsible for overseeing product development, technical support, and daily operations of the Application Center (AC). This role coordinates closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure product quality, innovation, and alignment with business needs.
The position also manages technical documentation, supports sales and production, and drives team development through training and knowledge sharing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Representing the AC to coordinate working with internal and external departments (customers, manufacturers, ..) of the company.
Managing and supervising the general work of AC, including:
• New product development/product improvement according to the customer's project.
• New product development/product improvement at the manufacturing plant.
• Create and develop new products with new potential to periodically introduce to sales and customers.
• Coordinate/Support Suppliers to make samples at the lab (for training sessions or introduce samples to customers) upon request.
• Evaluate new raw materials or complained materials at the request of departments and prepare feedback reports on the results.
2. Technical Consulting:
• Assist the sales department in providing technical advice and resolving complaints for customers.
• Technical support for the production plant.
3. Ensuring the development, storage and updating of AC's document system:
• Procedures and work instructions (HD sensory, HD operation of laboratory equipment, ...)
• Records and information related to the project to serve as a database of R&D.
• R&D's formula library system, including research data (formulations, processes, evaluation results) of project-based products and reference formulations from manufacturers.
• Technical standards/specs of raw materials and finished products produced by the company
• Formula and manufacturing process of products
4. Perform tasks related to training:
• Training, orientation and support for subordinate employees in professional work
• Participate in related Training/Exhibitions/Symposiums/Seminars to update information and knowledge, for research.
• Periodically organize knowledge and experience sharing sessions for the RD team or within the company (Sales/BD/TS)
5. Other tasks at the request of superiors at certain times
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education: Graduated from a full-time university majoring in Food Technology or related disciplines. Priority is given to graduates of the University of Science and Technology majoring in food industry.
Experience: at least 10 years of R&D in the food sector and at least 3 years of experience in a management role.
Languages: Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing)
