Position Overview
The Asset & Inventory Accountant is responsible for establishing and managing a robust control system for fixed assets, production equipment, and inventory. This role ensures total asset transparency and cost control as the Lab-Fab transitions into its operational phase. The primary focus is to safeguard company assets, maintain accurate financial records, and support operational efficiency as production scales up.
Key Responsibilities
Fixed Asset Management
• Oversee the management of fixed assets and maintain comprehensive records of asset formation and documentation.
• Monitor Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) for ongoing projects to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Track expenses related to asset repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
Inventory Accounting
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, components, and consumables.
• Ensure accurate recording of stock movements, including receipts, issuances, and adjustments
Audit & Control
• Lead and perform periodic physical counts/inventories for both fixed assets and warehouse stock.
• Reconcile physical inventory results with accounting records and investigate any discrepancies
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with other Departments (Warehouse, Engineering, and Procurement) to streamline the control of materials and assets.
• Provide data-driven insights to support cost control and operational improvements.
