Job Title: Assistant Brand Manager - Chivas
Department: Marketing
Direct Supervisor: Brand Manager - Chivas & Insights
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for building primarily Pernod Ricard's Chivas Regal portfolio in the Vietnam market, managing the full brand marketing campaigns including (but not limited to) digital, partnerships, and events, and supporting delivery of volume and profit targets.
In addition, he/she will act as the custodian of brand and consumer strategy, working closely with and in liaison with the global brand teams, trade marketing, and sales to design and oversee the effective On-Trade and Off-Trade activations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Work closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager to manage the development of selected brands' long-term strategic brand plan, and annual brand plan.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing campaigns for the brands with a strong focus on digital, appropriate brand-driven partnerships, events, PR, and key influencer strategy as well as working closely with trade marketing to support On-Trade and Off-Trade promotional activation.
• Drive active engagement with the target consumer tribe, getting to know key influencers, identifying consumer insights, identifying brand opportunities, and managing tribe influencer events to ensure key brands are preferred brands amongst the relevant tribe communities.
• With the support and guidance of the Brand Manager & Digital Manager, lead the development of the digital marketing programs with a strong focus on social media, managing agencies, and demonstrating digital marketing expertise and best practice.
• In conjunction with Digital Manager, manage and grow relevant consumer databases, and provide brand strategy and direction on how to activate and engage the database through events, brand information, and affiliate programs.
• Work closely with the commercial and trade marketing teams to guide on promotional plans by channel and account as well as identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility and sell out.
• Work closely with Trade marketing to guide on the sourcing and utilization of relevant POS and GWP materials.
• Identify and secure appropriate brand ambassador resources to help support and deliver brand training and product story events - can be local or part of brand owner resources.
• Analyze market information through competitors' activities, pricing, product potential, market data, consumer insight, etc., and incorporate the insights into activation plans.
• Manage marketing and activation agencies to deliver brand events as well as identify new suitable opportunities.
• Liaise with the global brand teams to share and understand best practices and to contribute the market point of view and guidance on brand campaigns.
• Budget and report brand A&P expenditures in compliance with PR reporting guidelines and policies & procedures and efficiently assess ROI.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience as ABM,
• Dark market & FMCG background preferred;
• Experience in strategy/brand development, including brand positioning and brand building activities (Digital/ Events/ On & Off-trade)
Functional & Leadership Competencies
• Good understanding of commercial strategy and full marketing mix. Proven ability to develop consumer-centric marketing campaigns and brand strategies through brand analysis, consumer, and channel understanding and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Good critical thinking, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Team player
• Strong stakeholders, project management skills, and thirst for execution excellence, experience in driving projects as a project leader. Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with the ability to adapt to change
• Good understanding of operational constraints and strong execution reflex
• Appreciation of legislation, external relations, and marketing standards in the spirits industry
• Good English skills (written/spoken) are mandatory
• Good command of MS Office
• Comfortable in spending time in an On-Trade environment
