Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Provides back up to Staff Accountant on all accounting duties.
Ø Assists with seeking approval and communicates with Agents regarding requests for reinstatements.
Ø Research policies for refund requirements and create and print checks for premium refunds.
Ø Responsible for opening, sorting and distribution mail for all Agribusiness.
Ø Enter premium checks received in the department that NPC is unable to enter.
Ø Endorses, balance and deposits checks.
Ø Assists agents, policyholders and office staff with billing and agent statement questions.
Ø Assists agents and policyholders for premium payments including Check by Phone.
Ø Kitchen restock, ordering supplies from NPC
Ø Order supplies for all of agribusiness
Ø Reviews return mail and contacts agents with address changes. Works with Underwriting on address endorsement changes
Ø Back up Corporate Reception Desk when needed.
Ø Perform other duties as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ø Ability to enter information accurately and efficiently into a computer system.
Ø Ability to use 10-key calculator.
Ø Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
Ø Knowledge of or the ability to learn Rain and Hail products, services, and systems.
Ø Knowledge of or the ability to learn the terminology used by the insurance industry and the company.
Ø Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical calculations.
Ø Ability to respond to telephone inquiries accurately and professionally.
Ø Ability to effectively communicate and maintain positive business relationships with company personnel, outside resources, and customers.
Ø Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and to perform many tasks simultaneously.
Ø Ability to learn and develop skills in the use of department equipment.
Ø Ability to remain calm and professional.
Ø Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ø Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
Ø Ability to work from oral or written communication.
Ø Ability to assist in other work-related areas as required.
Qualifications
High School or GED required.
