Join a forward-looking R&D team developing next-generation automation solutions for CNC machine tending. As a PLC Control Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of modular, scalable control software for our automation products. Your expertise in PLC programming, electrical conceptual design, and system integration will drive the evolution of our in-house automation platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop PLC software using ladder logic and structured text (IEC 61131-3)
• Apply function blocks and reusable code structures to build scalable control solutions
• Lead electrical conceptual design and select appropriate electrical components for automation products
• Review and approve electrical schematics, cable drawings and BOMs
• Design control architecture and hardware communication for automation cells
• Integrate PLC, robot, and peripheral systems into complete machine tending solutions
• Support proof-of-concept development and validation of new automation modules
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to product architecture discussions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including functional descriptions
• Support internal testing and deployment of control systems
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders and service teams
• Support customers with issue resolution as part of product deployment
• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming, especially in ladder logic and structured text
• Minimum 2 years' experience in PLC
software engineering for machine automation
• Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi and Beckhoff PLCs is a must
• Hands-on experience with communication protocols like EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA
• Familiarity with servo control techniques and motion control fundamentals
• Familiarity with modular programming techniques like function blocks, libraries
• Experience in conceptual electrical design and component selection
• Capable of reviewing schematics and BOMs for completeness and correctness
• Prior experience with vision systems and robot integration would be a strong advantage
• Experience with Solidworks Electrical or electrical CAD tools will be a plus
• Person with integrity, team player, proactive and driven by technical excellence
• Experience with machine tool automation or CNC machine environments is preferred
• At least 3 years of experience
• Assigned to Singapore for training/working for 2-3 years, then return to work in Hưng Yên
