Body Production Process Coach

1. Job Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Electrical..., or related field).
• Competencies and skills:
+ Operational Flexibility: Ability to support multi-shift operations, including rotating shifts and weekend coverage as required.
+ Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
+ Labor Management: Capable of directing a unionized hourly workforce, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and throughput targets.
+ Organizational Excellence: Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Analytical Problem-Solving: Advanced conflict management and troubleshooting skills to resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment, or specifically within Body Shop operations or Stamping Sub-assembly, is highly preferred.
2. Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership & Coaching:
+ Performance Coaching: Drive Safety, Quality, and Productivity objectives by coaching team members on the execution of standardized work instructions/Ford Production Systems (FPS).
+ Capability Building: Develop the technical and leadership competencies of Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure a high-performing workforce.
+ Culture: Foster a collaborative and conducive work environment that empowers teams to meet and exceed their assigned responsibilities.
• Process Optimization & Quality Control:
+ Throughput Management: Optimize production flow in alignment with budgetary constraints and cost objectives.
+ Process Confirmation: Conduct regular process audits to verify that production lines are operating safely, efficiently, and producing parts that meet quality specifications.
+ Metric Achievement: Ensure the department meets key performance indicators (KPIs), including First Time Through (FTT), inventory levels, scrap reduction, and tooling expense targets.
• Continuous Improvement & Support:
+ Rapid Response: Act as a secondary responder for ANDON occurrences, providing immediate support to resolve line stoppages.
+ Kaizen Initiatives: Lead Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) projects and facilitate problem resolution at the point of origin.
+ Communication: Facilitate clear departmental communication and lead recognition initiatives to maintain high team morale.
• Administration: Execute essential supervisory administrative duties, ensuring all operational documentation is accurate and compliant with Plant standards.
