As part of VCS's strategy to expand into the Japanese market, the Bridge System Engineer (BrSE) role is a cornerstone position, critical to ensuring the success and sustainability of projects for Japanese clients. In this role, you will serve not only as a language bridge but also as a bridge in mindset, process, and quality standards between Japanese clients and VCS's technical teams. By accurately conveying requirements, ensuring quality control, and maintaining project timelines, you will help build trust with Japanese clients and partners and lay the foundation for long-term collaboration. The BrSE accompanies clients throughout the project lifecycle, directly contributing to standardizing working practices, improving delivery quality, and strengthening VCS's reputation in the cybersecurity field in the Japanese market.
Responsibilities
- Act as the bridge between Japanese clients/partners and the offshore development team, ensuring project information is communicated accurately
and completely. - Receive, discuss, and clarify requirements from clients; consolidate, analyze, and hand off requirements to the technical team.
- Track and manage project progress, promptly identify issues and risks, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
- Translate, review, and control the quality of project documents (specifications, reports, handover documents, etc.).
- Check the quality of products/deliverables before handover, ensuring they meet quality and deadline requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
Qualifications
- Japanese language proficiency of N2 or above; practical communication ability in a client-facing work environment is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a BrSE role
- Basic IT knowledge foundation; candidates with in-depth understanding of software development, systems, or networking are preferred
- High sense of responsibility, meticulous work attitude, and commitment to quality and deadlines
- Proactive, quick-thinking, and willing to learn and adapt to new environments and challenges
Preferred:
- Experience working on projects for the Japanese market
- Experience working in an offshore delivery model
- Background or direct experience in software development/infrastructure
