Job Purpose
The Business Development Associate is responsible for developing and expanding the market presence of Weidmüller products in the Hanoi area, with a strong focus on industrial customers, OEMs, system integrators, and manufacturing plants. This role combines new customer acquisition, project development, and partner collaboration to drive sustainable sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Business Development
• Develop and execute business development plans to grow Weidmüller product sales in Hanoi and surrounding industrial zones
• Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and industrial projects (electronics, automotive, semiconductor, factory automation, etc.)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, OEMs, panel builders, and system integrators
• Track industrial investments, factory expansions, and automation upgrade projects in the region
Sales & Customer Engagement
• Promote Weidmüller solutions including terminal blocks, relay, tool, connectors, power supplies, I/O systems, industrial Ethernet, and PLC solutions, ...
• Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and on-site visits to customers
• Support customers in product selection, applications, and basic technical inquiry coordination
• Prepare quotations, follow up on negotiations, and support order closure
Channel & Partner Management
• Work closely with authorized distributors and build distribution channels to develop business
• Support distributor sales teams through training, joint visits, and project coordination
• Monitor channel performance and market coverage
Market Intelligence & Reporting
• Collect and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipelines
• Provide regular reports on sales activities, project status, and market development
• Directly reporting to country manager in Vietnam
Internal Collaboration
• Coordinate with product management, technical support, and marketing teams
• Support local marketing activities such as hotel seminars, factory days, and exhibitions
• Ensure alignment with Weidmüller's policy and business strategy
Yêu cầu
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics) or Business-related field
Experience
• More than 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or
technical sales in industrial or automation products
• Experience in industrial components, electrical connectivity, or automation solutions is an advantage
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments in Hanoi industrial zones is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Customer-oriented mindset with proactive business development approach
• Basic technical understanding of electrical / automation products
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities
• Good planning, reporting, and CRM discipline
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Language Requirements
• English: Good working proficiency (technical and commercial communication)
• Chinese: Not compulsory but basic communication is a plus
Additional Requirements
• Candidate is highly preferred in Hanoi
• Willingness to travel frequently to nearby provinces
• Valid driving license preferred
