JOB SUMMARY
Deltrol Corp, a U.S.-based manufacturer of cartridge valves, in-line and fluid dispensing valves, solenoids, and relays, has successfully operated in Vietnam for more than 18 years. This new role represents a significant evolution in our go-to-market strategy by introducing a dedicated, regionally based
business development leader.
The Business Development Manager will be at the forefront of the next wave of growth, responsible for driving new business opportunities for both Deltrol Controls and Deltrol Fluid Products throughout the Asian region. The role combines travel, hands-on customer engagement, and consultative support to retain, grow, and protect existing customers while executing on new opportunities. Extensive regional travel will be required, as well as periodic travel to the United States for product and application training. While the primary focus is Asia, opportunities in nearby regions such as Australia and New Zealand may also be considered where appropriate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Asia for both divisions.
• Represent Deltrol at regional tradeshows and industry events to build brand presence and generate leads.
• Conduct market research to identify prospective customers, industries, and distribution partners.
• Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers, acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams.
• Network actively within Vietnam and the wider Asian region to uncover opportunities.
• Stay informed about emerging market trends in industries served by both divisions. For Deltrol Controls, this includes beverage equipment, ice making equipment, floor scrubbing equipment, welding, and security applications. For Deltrol Fluid Products, this includes fluid power applications in work trucks, agriculture and construction equipment, and material handling.
• Provide regular progress reports of business development activities for both Deltrol Controls and Deltrol Fluid Products.
• Interact regularly with counterparts at both U.S. divisions to ensure alignment on strategies, opportunities, and customer requirements.
• Effectively balance business development priorities across both divisions to ensure consistent representation and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with U.S. and Vietnam-based teams to align business development activities with operational capabilities.
• Negotiate effectively to secure new contracts and agreements with collaboration of US divisions.
• Establish a foundation for a future regional business development team as opportunities grow.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 2-5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in industrial or engineered components.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate engineering concepts.
• Proven ability to build and sustain customer relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and long-term relationships in diverse cultural and business environments.
• Highly self-motivated with a competitive drive to win new business.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience developing or contributing to marketing strategies that drive new business growth.
• Proficiency in English and Vietnamese; additional regional languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 60-75% of the time across Asia, plus periodic travel to the U.S. for training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP and CRM systems preferred.
• Requires the ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications.
REPORTING / WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
• Reports directly to the President in the U.S.
• Works closely with personnel from Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality in Vietnam and the U.S.
• Collaborates regularly with leadership and business development counterparts at both Deltrol Controls and Deltrol Fluid Products in the U.S.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• Field-based with frequent travel across Asia.
• Home base ideally near Deltrol's Vietnam plant in VSIP 1 Binh Duong.
• Work performed in office, plant, and customer environments; noise levels vary from moderate to high.
