Buyer

1. Role: This position will focus on sourcing and purchasing of components needed for current production and transfer projects. Identifying and developing local factories for component production is a critical part of this role. Candidate will be responsible for handling the company's end to end sourcing operations as well as be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships and new opportunities. She/he will need to manage the suppliers for daily production issues come up, negotiating for any sudden changes needed for the benefit of the company.
2. Main duty:
▪ Source and develop suppliers including the management of samples and follow up for transfer projects; manage supplier relationships
▪ Understand product ranges, price ranges and capability of different suppliers to identify suitable suppliers for development
▪ Manage the procurement process including request for quotations, negotiate with suppliers, recommend best offer (in terms of quality, service and cost)
▪ Identify potential savings opportunities and support cost savings initiatives
▪ Facilitate cross functional teams to assess and audit candidate suppliers
▪ Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
▪ Conduct competitive analysis
▪ Willing to travel occasionally to China and around Vietnam.
