Mô tả công việc

Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, observing council regulations for food handling and storage at all times.
Provides direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Commis, Demi Chef de Partie and Stewards.
Organise your assigned section/outlet and ensure it runs efficiently and productively.
Monitor and control food wastage, maintaining a close eye on portion size and assist with food cost.
Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service.
Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information.
Prepare and cook all food orders including non-menu items as appropriate with a sense of urgency whilst ensuring quality and presentation is maintained.
Liaise with F&B service team members regarding the availability of menu items, additions and any changes to the menu.
Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards.
Assist with all kitchen orientation and on job training for all new junior chefs and kitchen hands.
Lead by example as a hands on Commis, Demi Chef de Partie ensuring the quality and consistency of all products served.
To assist in the training of employees, making sure that they have the skills necessary to perform their duties in the most productive way.

Yêu cầu

1. Knowledge & Experience

Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Culinary with at least 1 year experience in supervisory or similar position.
Complete courses and obtain a certificate in food hygiene and safety.

2. Competencies:

Problem solving and training abilities.
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the Hotel's Brand.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills.
Solid organisational skills - eye for detail coupled with a strong ability to proactively identify priorities and manage multiple tasks.
Work well in stressful & high-pressure situations.
Have a good physical and ability to solve problems quickly.
