Chemicals And Compliance Manager

1. Chemical Risk Assessment & Compliance:
• Conduct and oversee chemical risk assessments for all materials and production processes, including foams, woods, finishing products, and steel powder coatings.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations, including EN standards, RoHS, REACH, and EIA regulations.
• Manage Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and chemical storage regulations.
2. Testing & Standards Compliance:
• Oversee testing of furniture materials, chemicals, foams, wood treatments, finishing coatings, and powder coatings.
• Ensure all products and raw materials meet relevant EN standards and customer compliance requirements.
• Manage internal and external testing partnerships with laboratories.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
• Stay updated on changes in chemical regulations, environmental impact assessments (EIA), and workplace safety laws.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports for government agencies and customers.
• Implement and enforce RIGHTS (Regulations, Instructions, Guidelines, Hazards, Training, and Standards) framework.
4. Test Centre Management:
• Lead and manage the in-house test centre for chemical and materials testing.
• Develop and execute testing procedures for quality assurance and product safety.
• Train staff on chemical safety and testing protocols.
5. Safety & Environmental Impact Control:
• Monitor and manage chemical handling, waste disposal, and emissions control in line with EIA standards.
• Implement workplace safety protocols for chemical storage and usage.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and environmental safety regulations.
