Mô tả công việc
We are looking for a mid-senior finance professional to serve as the local finance representative in Vietnam, based at our facility in Thai Binh City. This role supports both our Hanoi-based trading subsidiary and our Thai Binh manufacturing operation, acting as the key bridge between local statutory requirements and the finance governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to regional finance leadership and working closely with the local plant and trading management teams, the key responsibilities of this role include:
Own the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the Vietnam entities, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and group reporting requirements.
Coordinate and review the work of the outsourced accounting firm to ensure proper bookkeeping, statutory filings, tax submissions, and closing activities are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain robust internal controls across trading and manufacturing activities, including general ledger, payables, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, cash handling, and approval workflows.
Ensure management reporting packages, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are prepared in line with Hong Kong holding company requirements, including system discipline, reporting timelines, and documentation standards.
Act as the key local finance contact for plant management, the Hanoi trading office, external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and group finance stakeholders on accounting, reporting, and control matters.
Support month-end and year-end closing, statutory audits, tax audits, and other compliance reviews by preparing schedules, explaining transactions, and following through on audit points and action items.
Drive consistency between local operating practices and group finance policies, helping the business adopt standardized processes, approval controls, and ERP or system workflows.
Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities across finance operations, and propose practical solutions that strengthen compliance, visibility, and efficiency.
Work with the outsourced accounting firm and external tax advisers to ensure timely and accurate preparation of VAT, CIT, PIT, WHT, transfer pricing, and other statutory declarations and reconciliations.
Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on the Vietnam entities, ensuring that local practices remain compliant and any gaps are escalated and resolved promptly.
Coordinate annual statutory audit and tax finalization activities, including preparation of schedules, responses to auditor and adviser queries, and follow-up on findings.
Review tax-sensitive transactions and operational practices to reduce compliance risk while maintaining alignment with group policies and commercial objectives.
Monitor cash flow, funding needs, and banking activities for both the trading and manufacturing entities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and appropriate financial controls.
Support budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and working capital management by providing relevant analysis and timely financial information to local and regional management.
Partner with operations, procurement, sales, HR, and supply chain teams to ensure finance processes are practical, controlled, and well understood across the business.
Support implementation and continuous improvement of finance systems, reporting templates, and standard operating procedures in line with group requirements.
Help strengthen inventory, costing, and stock control disciplines at the manufacturing site, while ensuring appropriate commercial and credit controls for the trading entity.
Provide finance guidance and training to internal stakeholders where needed, and act as a reliable local representative of the finance function in Vietnam.
