Chief Accountant

Report to: Finance Director
Position Summary:
The Chief Accountant position is responsible & professional advisor to the Finance director with responsibility for all aspects of accounting, budgeting, financial reports and internal control. Responsibility also includes proper management and oversight of office systems, tasks and priorities. The incumbent serves under the direct supervision of the Finance Director, performing a full range of complex professional duties including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and internal control activities in a comprehensive and timely manner to support the objectives of The company.
Scope
The Chief Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reports. This position will be also responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reports, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
Core Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to internal accounting and finance policies and procedures in Accounting Department
3. Responsible for day-to-day finance operations and manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure all tasks are carried out smoothly and effectively
4. Responsible for timely monthly financial statements, payments, and/or remittances & cash-flow management & reporting.
5. Maintain General Ledger and all financial records (account receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses,[protected info])
6. Monthly and yearly Financial reports (VAS & company's standards) - analyzing and capturing the changes / issues to promptly offer solutions to control costs according to the proposed plan
7. Manage all Taxes declaration (CIT, PIT, VAT, FCT, others) and Finalization, as well as other reports to other Government Departments
8. Cash, Bank and loan controlling. Perform cash flow forecasting, monthly/yearly budgeting and ensure sufficient funds are available for daily operations through close monitoring of cash flow on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
9. Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls
10. Validate and reconcile inventory, fixed asset accounts & management
11. Co-operation with external financial auditors
12. Take responsible on other relevant documents of Company's business
13. Other tasks assigned by BOD
