WHAT YOU WILL DO
Cross-Border Financial Reporting & Consolidation
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (journal, general ledger, etc.).
• Record intercompany transactions and restate financials in accordance with IFRS.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Tax & Compliance
• Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns (VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT...) and other tax correspondence for the tax authority.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in full compliance with local regulations.
Internal Controls
• Identify significant issues/risks and propose solutions.
• Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and procedures.
Cross-functional collaboration
• Partner with internal teams to support financial needs and foster collaboration.
• Coordinate with independent auditors during the audit process.
Stakeholder Communication
• Liaise with consulting firms, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Understand company policies, regulations, and requirements and convey them clearly to stakeholders.
• Accurately report explanations and findings from consultants, auditors, and tax authorities to management.
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including supervision of staff accountants and financial analysts.
• Develop the accounting team, establish financial processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations.
