JOB SUMMARY
Work on improvement projects related to process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, operations, efficiency, and cost using Lean methodologies and tools.
Proactive to do the role on process improvement projects by facilitating groups and teams, managing projects, monitoring for sustainability, presenting results.
This position requires strong mindset, continuous improvement orientation and results-driven approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects:
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of project goals.
2. Analyze current processes and workflows:
Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven analysis to support recommendations.
3. Develop and implement strategies:
Create and execute detailed plans to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Ensure strategies align with organizational goals and objectives.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
Work closely with departments such as production, quality, and supply chain to implement improvement initiatives. Facilitate communication and coordination to ensure successful project execution.
5. Monitor and report on progress:
Track the progress of improvement projects using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Prepare and present regular reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
6. Training:
Provide training on continuous improvement tools and techniques, such as Kaizen, 5S, Line Balancing, Value Stream Mapping etc... to Production, cross function team. Encourage others to build a culture of continuous improvement and empower them to contribute to improvement initiatives.
7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement:
Promote a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Encourage employees to identify and suggest improvements, and recognize their contributions.
8. Implement technology solutions:
Identify and implement technology solutions that support continuous improvement efforts, such as process automation tools and data analytics software.
9. Work as one of key member to drive the Lean events and problem solving teams throughout the Production.
10. Maintain continuous personal development:
- Share new knowledge with the Team.
- Keeps up-to-date on reading material in the CI area.
11. Develop and maintain daily/weekly Report for all activities and projects that Facilitator is a part of.
12. Control and audit processes to ensure that they are maintained after projects completion.
13. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Work as a team to drive the activities of Continuous Improvement work while fully utilizing the support of all other departments to meet department objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education
- College or University graduation in Engineering, Industrial Engineer or a related field.
- Knowledge or Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
2. Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Project Management Experience.
3. Knowledge of:
- LEAN Manufacturing Concepts.
- Statistical Process Control.
- DMAIC Principles.
4. Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work hard and stay driven to achieve results.
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- High sense of responsibility and accountability in all tasks.
- Proficiency in using data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL,...).
- Basic in using AutoCAD (layouts) and SolidWorks.
