Department: Primary Education Reports To: Head of Primary (CIP) Role Overview:
The Primary Vietnamese Coordinator is responsible for managing the Vietnamese curriculum, supporting Vietnamese teachers in both academic and pastoral roles, and ensuring effective communication with parents. This role requires a proactive approach to compliance with DOET standards, integration of cultural perspectives, and fostering a collaborative environment for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Support:
a. Guide and mentor Vietnamese teachers in primary, ensuring professional growth both academically and from a pastoral perspective, ensuring adherence to school policies.
b. Monitor teacher performance and provide feedback, along with organizing professional development opportunities.
c. Promote collaboration between Vietnamese and international staff.
d. Provide guidance and training to Vietnamese homeroom teachers in issues of best practice as it relates to their duty as a homeroom teacher
2. Curriculum and Compliance:
a. Oversee the development and delivery of the Vietnamese curriculum, ensuring it aligns with DOET standards and school policies.
b. Facilitate initiatives to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes for primary students.
3. Parent Communication and Student Welfare:
a. Ensure consistent communication with parents through Seesaw, providing updates on academic progress, behavior, and well-being.
b. Train and support teachers in using Seesaw effectively as the primary communication tool.
c. Collaborate with teachers and parents to address any student concerns, including academic or behavioral issues.
4. Administrative Duties and Reporting:
a. Oversee teachers' administrative responsibilities, such as attendance tracking and maintaining student records.
b. Submit regular progress reports to the Head of Primary, highlighting achievements and challenges.
5. Cross-Cultural Understanding:
a. Encourage respect for Vietnamese and international cultural perspectives in the learning environment.

c. Promote the use of English as a medium of communication when appropriate, supporting teachers in improving their English proficiency.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
• Prior experience in a leadership role, such as department head or coordinator.
• Proficiency in communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Preferred: Proficiency in English or Japanese.
