About the role
As a Client Onboarding Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for all Know Your Client (KYC) matters. You are responsible for ensuring that all new clients are onboarded efficiently while strictly adhering to internal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) policies.

Key responsibilities:
• Act as the main contact for KYC enquiries; prioritize and manage the inflow of CDD requests to ensure timely completion for Engagement Managers.
• Ensure all documents are completed and in line with the internal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and CDD Policies and Procedures.
• Obtain ACRA biz-file, identification of shareholder, group structure and organization chart of potential client.
• Assess client's group structure and organization chart and check for completeness and accuracy of information declared in the CDD forms.
• Input all datapoints into SentroWeb and perform screenings via SentroWeb and general search on the potential clients (including Connected Parties and Beneficial Owners) for potential risks of money laundering and terrorism financing, to ensure no adverse news, sanctions, PEP/SIP/SIE matches.
• Perform further clarification when there is any perfect match for Connected Parties and Beneficial Owners as PEP/SIP/SIE, etc.
• Report CDD search results to Engagement Manager & Partner, including requesting signatories.
• Perform Enhanced CDD as instructed and under the supervision of Engagement Manager & Partner.
• Maintain evidence of CDD risk assessment and approval in CaseWare portal.

Requirements:
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex group structures and identify Beneficial Owners.
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills, e.g. Word, Excel.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experienced in the related field is preferred.
