As a member of the Preferred by Nature Communications Team, the Communications Specialist will help increase the awareness of Preferred by Nature in social media and digital channels.
Preferred by Nature is a non-profit organisation that works for sustainable land use and climate-friendly solutions. With 270+ staff around the world, our activities build capacity, raise awareness, conserve nature and streamline sustainability through innovation.

Key responsibilities
Social media (appx. 60% time)
- Support the implementation of the organisational social media strategies
- Proactively support to position Preferred by Nature's key experts on LinkedIn including expanding network and help facilitate responses
- Stay up to date with the industry news and support Preferred by Nature's experts to engage in related strategic and/or thematic discussions for branding purposes
- In coordination with the team and with inputs from external stakeholders, create engaging content across different platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, adapting content to suit different channels
- Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms
Website (40% time)
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely updating of information on website and coordinate additional web development as required.
- Create content for articles, web pages to raise awareness, engage stakeholders and promote the organisation.
- Conduct other communications tasks as assigned by Line Manager
Professional requirements
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any relevant subject.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role primarily focused on social media or communications.
- Experienced and confident writer in English.
- Familiar with popular social media channels with excellent knowledge of LinkedIn and building social network
- Excellent written English and ability to interact culturally, linguistically, and diplomatically with diverse internal and external individuals.
- Experience working in the forestry, agriculture, tourism, environment, development sectors or certification is an advantage.
- Experience with Web CMS systems is an advantage.

Position details
- Work time: 40 hours/week
- The position reports to our Communications Manager based in Vietnam
- Working location: Preferred by Nature's office or home office in India
- Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
