Compliance Officer

Lead and drive Olympus's compliance program to ensure business practices and activities are in compliance with related "Olympus" internal guidelines, local laws and regulations, anti-corruption laws including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and fraud monitoring and incident management. Serves as a strategic business partner for management and coach towards all employees, to assure that the company culture of compliance is a natural element in day to day business. Works closely with the management of Olympus Vietnam and the managers of Olympus Asian Pacific, also HQ in Japan.

This position is located in Long Thanh IZ.
** Reporting line
This position reports to Compliance Team Leader, who subsequently reports to Compliance Group of Olympus Vietnam.
** Key responsibisities
The Compliance Officer's duties are planning, implementing and monitoring the Olympus's Compliance Program. Coordination of compliance audit activities and communication of expectations and reporting results are the key responsibilities of this position.
The Compliance Officer will:
• Oversee and monitor the implementation of the company's Compliance Program.
• Report to the Managing Director on a regular basis to review progress on program implementation and assist with establishing improvement plans.
• Periodically revise and update the program.
• Conducting self-assessment and risk assessment processes to detect process gaps & inconsistencies.
• Develop and communicate the objectives of the Compliance Program and report accomplishments ongoingly.
• Develop and implement incident management policies and procedures and customize global/regional policies & procedures and education & training materials to reflect local requirements.
• Develop policies and programs that encourage staff to report suspected fraud or impropriety without fear of retaliation.
• Participating in and leading investigations of non-compliance and implementing the escalation process for serious allegations, as appropriate.
• Compile reports of calls received, investigations conducted, findings and recommendations developed, action plans established, and progress noted.
• Establish and communicate reporting procedures and reporting modes available (e-mail, voice mail, suggestion box, etc.).
• Develop and implement a Compliance training programs, including new employee orientation, periodic training on specialized subjects, and annual refresher training
• Maintain employee certification and training attendance records
• Ensure internal / external reporting requirements are met per local regulations, company requirements and schedule.
• Act as a business consultant to the organization where required and support the business leaders as strategic partner in compliance matters
• Partnering with Internal Auditto deliver successful audits Manage, lead and develop junior members in Compliance team in Viet Nam
• Partnering and coordinate with the Global/Regional Legal team to work with legal counsel regarding compliance requirements and interpretation.
