Corporate Government Affairs Manager - Vietnam

1. External communications including Media Relations
• Establish strong relationships with the team in Vietnam
• Leverage MDLZ's iconic brands and senior executives to drive coverage that promotes MDLZ's growth agenda and leadership in snacking, well-being and e-commerce in Vietnam
• Support marketing teams to safeguard the rich heritage of our iconic brands and introduce the latest innovations
• Collaborate with HR to build the MDLZ employer brand and support regional recruitment needs
• Help country leads ensure timely handling of all media enquiries.
2. Public & Government Affairs (PGA)
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with national and local government and stakeholders in Vietnam
• Identify and address short-term barriers to trade by monitoring the external environment and influencing regulations or proposals which impact our license to operate
• Work directly and with trade associations to influence the long-term policy debate on MDLZ global priority issues (well-being, food safety, tax and trade, sustainability, retail environment)
• Enable business growth by working with government and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and/or financial incentives for new projects.
3. Internal communications
• Oversee internal communications for Vietnam to ensure colleagues understand corporate strategy and business performance (includes town halls, updates from Country Director, intranet content, seasonable celebration events).
4. Community Engagement:
• Oversee the delivery of Vietnam community investments promoting healthy lifestyles like Joy Schools
• Manage teams to deliver employee volunteering opportunities to enable employees to make a difference in their local communities
• Leverage community engagement activity to drive our reputation with media and stakeholders
5. Special Situations Management Team (SSMT):
• Represent CGA on the Vietnam SSMT providing advice on interactions with media and government in the event of a special situation eg product recall, industrial action/employee protest, accident on site
6. People Management
• Engage and inspire Vietnam CGA team as their leader
• Build capabilities across the team and create a culture of growth and development
• Have fun while we work!
• Budget Management: Oversee delivery of Vietnam CGA budget
