Country Seafreight Pricing & Tender Management Manager

Job Purpose: Lead the Seafreight Pricing & Tender function by managing pricing, procurement and tender activities to support business growth and profitability.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Ocean pricing & procurement & RFQ submission
- Maintain accurate and timely ocean freight buying rates for assigned trade lanes through contracts and carrier/vendor negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, co-loaders and strategic vendors.
- Handle pricing requests from Sales, Operations and Hellmann Intercompany within agreed turnaround time.
- Manage both regional and local RFQs, tenders and contract renewals for Vietnam.
- Work closely with Regional Trade Team, Sales and Overseas offices to provide competitive and suitable pricing solutions.
- Negotiate freight rates and procurement terms to optimize cost, service quality and profitability.
- Resolve pricing, carrier and vendor-related issues in a timely manner. - Maintain and update freight rate, local charge and surcharge databases in internal system GPM.
- Monitor market developments including freight rates, capacity, bunker adjustments and competitor activities.
- Prepare regular market intelligence reports covering carrier performance, market trends, pricing movement and business opportunities.
- Support strategic procurement initiatives and participate in quarterly or annual carrier negotiations.
- Ensure pricing compliance with company guidelines, procurement policies and commercial governance.
2. Domestics
- Procure & negotiate Customs/Trucking rate with Local vendors/subcontractors
- Evaluate vendor performance and identify alternative suppliers when required.
- Provide the most suitable logistics solutions to support customer requirements.
3. Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach and develop the Pricing team to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Allocate workload and monitor quotation turnaround time.
- Provide guidance on pricing strategy, procurement and tender management.
- Foster effective collaboration with Sales, Operations and Regional teams.
4. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare regular reports on pricing performance, procurement activities and market trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes and operational efficiency.
- Escalate critical issues to the Country Head of Seafreight.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Country Head of Seafreight.
