• Contract & Pricing Management:
• Read and understand USA & Canada service contract filings accurately.
• Offer competitive rates to both external and internal clients based on the existing contract rates.
• Manage space allocation effectively to meet operational and customer requirements.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to gain a deep understanding of their needs.
• Communicate proactively with
shippers, controlling parties, and internal teams.
• Booking Management:
• Receive booking details from shippers and forward them to controlling parties for instruction.
• If instructions come from the controlling party first, contact shippers for cargo status and update accordingly.
• Create quick booking details in CW1.
• Obtain booking confirmation with carriers/co-loaders following controlling party instructions.
• Send booking confirmations to shippers for export arrangements.
• Shipment Monitoring & Schedule Control:
• Follow up with shippers to ensure cargo is exported as planned. Any changes must be reported to the controlling party for approval.
• Track & Trace shipment routes on carriers' websites. If schedules change, double-check with carriers and request space protection.
• Update all concerned parties about schedule changes timely.
• Update CW1 promptly with any schedule modifications.
• Send rolling reports to Person-in-Charge (PIC) when required.
• System Updates:
• Upload booking request forms, booking confirmations, and other related documents into CW1.
• Create new organizations in CW1 and update client tariffs accordingly.
• Send FMC filing accurately and on time.
• Hand over job files to the Documentation Team for timely preparation of shipping documents.
• Cross-Functional Coordination:
• For EXW, DDU/DAP, and DDP shipments, ensure all required documents are provided to logistics PIC or vendors for: cargo pick-up, customs clearance, and on time closing as per instructions.
• Coordinate with teammates and other departments to ensure smooth handling of business operations.
• Address unforeseen issues promptly and provide solutions.
• Other tasks will be assigned by
Assistant Manager or BU Head.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct experience handling USA & Canada trade lanes in a global freight forwarding company.
• Language Skills:
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Chinese-speaking candidates will be given priority.
• System Skills: Proficient in using CargoWise One (CW1).
• Personal Competencies:
• High sense of responsibility.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectivel
