Data Engineer Database, Python, C++, Java

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with coworkers and clients to elucidate the requirements for each task.
• Conceptualize and generate infrastructure that allows big data to be accessed and analyzed.
• Reformulate existing frameworks to optimize their functioning.
• Test such structures to ensure that they are fit for use.
• Prepare raw data for manipulation by Data Scientists.
• Detect and correct errors in your work.
• Ensure that the work remains backed up and readily accessible to relevant coworkers.
• Collaborate with other designers and architects within Business Intelligence and IT to build high performing / easy to use data models.
• Perform data discovery, integration and identify / fix data quality issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar.
• Expert proficiency in Scala, Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Hadoop or suitable equivalent.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A knack for independent and group work.
• Scrupulous approach to duties.
• Capacity to successfully manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision.
• Background working in cloud environments - AWS, Rackspace, Azure.
• Establish and ensure standard solution design across all data types for optimal performance and enterprise understanding.
